Review of Freelance Website Authorr

Are you curious about the website, Authorr? Well, here is an honest review about the website. I signed up earlier in the week and set my rate. The company recommended that I set my rate at a lower price, which reminded me of other freelance websites. I set my low rate and after receiving my topic, I sent my unpaid sample. The topic was easy to write on and was only 400 words. However, the word count did make it a little difficult. I usually get a word count and am able to go over the word count. This was why it was so difficult: my piece had to exactly 400 words, it could not go over the word count or be less than the word count. I got a timer, which is at the bottom of the page. It took me a little over an hour to write the piece. The timer was good but bad. I am not fond of being timed but it was nice to see how long it took me to write a basic 400 word article.

After they accepted my piece, I decided to start another short article. After I logged in, I saw that there were ten available articles and I chose one about using money wisely. I had to play around with my words to make it exactly 400 words. I wrote it and submitted it. I then checked the website to see if there are any other articles I could write. The list of available articles went from ten to one. The website does send emails to tell me when there are articles available to write, which I think is great. I do not have to log on every hour or so to check the website. The next day I got an email telling me I needed to edit my article because I did not follow one of the rules. This rule was to write the piece in third, not second person. I noticed this rule after I submitted it.

If I had to rate the website from a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being terrible to 10 being a terrific website, I would give it an 8.
Why the website got an 8:

  • My article was not overly complicated to write
  • The article received an easy to fix edit
  • There were not any articles to claim after two hours
  • The pay was lower than expected
